Connecting 2 different gauge wires

    I have another question. I am trying to connect my Baja S2 lights to my trigger controller. I have a 12 gauge Y that will plug into the Trigger controller.

    Can I safely connect the (I think 10 gauge) wires to the 12 gauge Y with a butt?

    Thank you, I think its actually 14 gauge and a 12 gauge Y but I didn't end up using the Y for now.

    Just solder them, make sure the fuse is sized for the smallest gauge wire.
