    Hey all!

Very new guy here - as in, first time truck owner. And first time NEW truck owner. The last new car I bought was in 1986 (also a Toyota).

The truck; 2022 Tacoma SR5, full cab, full bed, 4WD. The only downside is it's white. Definitely not my first choice, but it was literally the only one in the area, so, I'll take it.

I had been looking to get a truck for doing random stuff; picking up mulch & soil, carrying sheet goods, renting large items that wouldn't fit in the car. But also to handle moving mats & crash pads (I teach martial arts, and do some stunt work). At first I thought I'd get an old beater, or maybe a used truck. That notion was dashed after I totaled my car. So, I decided to jump right in and get a truck. I'm already having a good feeling about it.

I've already done a bit of research here for various things already (bed liner, tonneau cover, etc.). And plan to come back quite a bit.

That's nice! I put my deposit down for a silver SR5 DCLB. Long story but I should be picking up my TRD OR DCLB Lunar Rock later this month. Allocation was all I could get, started my looking in March.

Looks good, just keep in mind that depending on what kind of tonneau cover you get it may impact your ability to keep larger things in the bed. I have a hard cover on my truck so there’s been a couple times when I’ve had to awkwardly load a tire into the back seat because I already had 4 in the bed.

Welcome, I also got a super white double cab (SR) last year because it was the only SR 4x4 in my state.
