I’ve had a FB since 2009 but rarely use it anymore. If I could pull all my pictures off to save on a HD, I’d delete FB.

And they get mad if they think you're listening in on their "private" conversation.

Especially dumb while jogging or riding. I rode bikes all my life and would never wear headphones even back in the Walkman days for that reason, and I lived in a quiet area.

I'm very off and hang my hat on it. I also talk to my cats constantly

I enjoy the use of a speaker phone in a restaurant. Making it somewhat obvious that I am hanging on every word can often end the call with dirty look my way. I. Can't. Even...

With gas prices so high (over $6/gal here in California) , how many of you remember Gas Wars. When gas stations in certain areas would have price wars where they would try to out do each other with a lower price. Often they would be selling gas below the price they paid per gallon. During gas wars everyone would be out filling their tanks.
Or do you remember stations use to give away free merchandise if you bought so many gallons, like between 5 and 8 gallons. They gave away things like drink glasses, dishes and dinnerware , all kinds of different stuff.
I remember in high school in 1966 I worked part time in a Chevron gas station. Regular gas was .27 cents a gallon and the owner allowed me .02 cents a gallon discount. That’s what he made on a gallon. For 1 dollar I could pick up my date, go to the drive-in and go cruising around afterwards. The whole date was less than $5 - gas for the car, drive-in admittance, and popcorn and cokes. Life was good and affordable.

I’ll just say this, we often did not go cruising after the movie, instead we headed for the Oakland hills (I grew up in Oakland ca.) and watched “submarine “ races.

Back in the day in my youth watching the submarine races was a euphamism for making out (and more) in a car. All the teens knew exactly what it meant.
