What to do with A340F transmission?

    I'm getting to the transmission part of my PreRunner conversion.

    I bought a used transmission for the parts I needed, and I just finished disassembling it to pull the output shaft out.

    I'm not putting it back together, so what do I do with it?

    Should I hold onto it until I get my PreRunner parts so I can rebuild it into a 2x4 and resell?

    Can I just recycle the parts? Could anyone use it for parts?

    I took it apart carefully and wiped down and bagged all the small parts.

    Help?

    Could be interested in any gears and whatnot that you'd most likely toss away.

    I'd just use it for "weld art" and nothing more.

    Was not hard at all. I watched some youtube videos, and bought a couple of tools (pick and small prybar). I could have used a better pair of circlip pliers (used my housemates) and maybe a slide hammer.

    It's messy, I drilled a hole in my Rubbermaid cart and placed a fluid drip pan underneath and let it drain overnight.

    I used a rag to wipe things down as I pulled the internals out, and placed everything in a tote bin, after they drained out on top of my makeshift transmission table.

    Pay for shipping and it's yours. I'm to part it out seeing as how there is interest in some of it.

    This was from a '99 V6 fyi, I believe the splines on the shaft are different from the 3RZ (which is what I have).

    Input gears have a different spline count for sure; 26 on your 3RZ.

    Can't say for the rest.

    I could be wrong, but I don't think this would work for my application. Is the trans behind a 3RZ the same as a 5VZ? :notsure:

    About the spline count on the output shaft? Not sure what you are referencing.
