Waxing Wheels

I was just curious if those that have factory or TRD wheels if you wax them, especially those in cold climate states. Do you do it yourself, or have them professionally done?

 

Don't waste your time with wax on wheels, it will not hold up to the heat. Find a ceramic coating and do it yourself.

That is better than wax but not a true coating. It will work but will require more frequent application instead of using something like Carpro Dlux or GTechniq C5 wheel armour. Try posting in the detailing section as you will get more recommendations. Those are the 2 products I use.

True but this stuff is so easy to use along with their ceramic wet wax that I dont mind. I use it every other time i wash my car which is about every 4 months.

 

both coatings I recommended are wipe on, let set, and wipe off. Good for a year. Not much more effort than the above product.

 

If it works that easy then ill have to give it a try. All the stuff ive seen on these ceramic coatings is painstaking application to cover all parts and cleaning.

 

As long as you have a clean surface to start with then you should be good. Nothing wrong with the product you are using. The main thing is to have some sort of protection on them.
