    Just to give an example, I won't dispute that a Daniel Defense or LaRue is better than my PSA AR-15.
    How much better though?
    A percent or two?

    My PSA is all mil-spec, no proprietary parts to complicate things.
    It's perfectly fine and nicely finished.

    Things get a bit more complicated with optics.
    The really cheap stuff is basically worthless.
    The sky seems to be the limit with scopes, and the best ones are very noticeably superior to mine.
    But they're so expensive. :eek:

    I have a Bushnell 1X4 LPVO and a Sig 3X9 (for groundhogs), both on Monstrum quick detach mounts.
    Of course I check zero when switching scopes, but surprisingly, they hold zero pretty well (bolts are locktited).


    Mind you, I have sympathy for new shooters, but when they brag about their fancy stuff...
    ... and then have trouble getting on paper at 50 yards... :facepalm:
    Meanwhile, I'm ringing the steel target at 200 yards with my Palmetto State Armory AR-15.
    With cheap Lake City M-193 ammo, no less...
