My last job I worked with a cat who'd been clanking around the same igloo back and forth to work for damn near 40 years. Drove a subaru hatch with 240k miles. Wearing the same jeans since 1996. Millions in the bank. I learned a lot from that guy.

Suppose he never told you about the tea bags or shavin’ bar soap stubs into the wringer washer. Yup, wasn’t cheap just had no money. I never forget…

S.E. Nebraska; we aren't doing too bad here. We've had enough spotty showers that haven't had to water the garden more than a few times.
Those green beetles though, working on destroying the fruit trees. Even after we spray they coming back.

Growing up that way kind of colors your life, no matter how far you move away from living on the edge with nothing you never forget the feeling. The thrifty habits stick with you, never waste anything.

At first I was like ohhh crap (literally), but then realized how dry it was. Hopefully they never develop the neighbors land as they're gonna find the end of it on their property :spy:

The little ol' lady who used to live here before me's brother has that property, so that explains that. All they do in that field is let the grass grow for hay. Worse comes to worse I'll rent a trencher and redirect it and add 100' of 6" sock pipe.

Panhandle; weve had some rain lately. Its just not enough to recuperate from a few years of being dry. Having to get creative to water trees and such

It was a nice setup, the cooler has a divider inside so there are 2 compartments. After I gave up coffee I kept the thermos filled with peanut M & Ms for years, they never melted even sitting in the car for hours in the summer. It would hold about 2 pounds worth.

:anonymous: Still think the wringer washer did more clothes with less water & better results.
