Ernest, 1996 Toyota Tacoma, Door lock Problems

My roommate is the true owner of this truck, But I do most of the maintenance for him. Two days ago he asked me to find out why the handles, (inside & outside) no longer worked. To open the passenger door he had to go out and use the key to open the door.So I removed the inside panel then asked to turn on the truck and use the driver side lock switch. I noticed that actuator only moved slightly. So I figure out what was causing that I took one lever off a door latch. Then I look tried the other door latch and it seem the problem was the locking mechanism itself, but we cleaned it and it worked and I went to put it back together, however, I don't remember, where all the posts or rods go to? I never did get the actuator. I mean the locking mechanism all the way out, so I never really saw the whole thing. What I need is some kind of diagram of how to put the rods back together. Because the door now will open from the outside handle which it wasn't doing, and the key still works, but I can't get the rod together for the inside door latch. Can somebody help me figure this out? It would be a very big help. Thank you for reading this!
