My truck is lifted 2.5 inches. I want to go with a bigger negative offset without rubbing or having to cut anything. I will go 265 or 285 as long as it doesn’t rub and I don’t have to cut.. does anybody know the biggest negative offset I can go without rubbing?

My wheels are -10 and I don’t have any rubbing. 265/75/16 tires.

So you can do at least -10.

265, 285, etc. denotes just the width of the tire, not diameter. Your truck came stock with 265/70-16 (31") tires. If you want to go with the popular 285/75-16 (33") size, some plastic trimming is usually needed no matter the offset; 0mm offset will require the least trimming (possibly no rubbing on the street). Anything more negative will require progressively more trimming. The biggest drawback to Toyotas (vs. Jeeps and Fords) is difficulty in fitting larger tires.

I have close to 2” lift up front(Eibach pro lift). 275/70/17 tires with -12 offset wheels. Rubbed the tiniest little bit on just one side. So minor that I could have left it alone but I easily fixed it with VERY minor trimming.

I rubbed pretty bad with stock suspension, 17x9 -12 wheels and 265/70/17 tires.

You can actually calculate this yourself using a flat ruler pretty easily if you know the offset of your current wheel.
