I put a new caliper on driver side. I disconnected the speed sensor because the ABS and Traction control lights have been on for awhile and I figure I'll get a new sensor and the connector was not easy to disconnect. Is the light on because there's something in the electrics logic that it sees it not connected? It wasn't on before I did the brake work and I don't think I did anything wrong in the caliper repair.

The Owner's Manual has a comment on the light and warning tone. There's no tone, just a steady light. I checked all the fuses related to ABS prior to this job.

I saw nothing similarly related in the search function for Brake Warning Light.

Check your brake fluid. If it's low, it will make the light come on.

    Brake fluid as mentioned above.

Also I wouldn't leave the speed sensor line unplugged - good way for water and crap to get into the connector and give you issues down the road

The brake fluid reservoir is full. The connector is duct taped and zip tied to the A arm.
What if I run a jumper wire between the blue and white receiver ends of the connector?
If it's electric logic, wouldn't that 'solve' it?

The light also comes on if the ebrake is engaged.

While the brake may be released, the switch can stick and make it think the ebrake is still on.

I will check that but the Ebrake has been disconnected and all hardware (except handle) removed when
I got a new frame 4 years ago. Rust is a bugger.

I will add that everything works just fine but no one wants to have a light on. What happens when it really means it?
