    That is a remp VIN, truck was scheduled to be build on 07/09. It has not happen, you get the perm VIN from your salesman once the truck is build.

    The salesman told me that is a permanent VIN, but reading through here, I thought different.... I'm not sure he'll be able to give me a permanent VIN since he thinks that is permanent...

    @Rod03,

    Could this be the permanent VIN that replaced the temp VIN:

    Permanent - 3TYCZ5AN8NT089450

    Temp - 3TYCZ5ANXNT26A705

    ???

    @Rod03 Morning ! When you have a chance, could you please check 3TYCZ5AN5NT084724 ? Thanks.

    For those playing at home, my Tacoma was built June 1 in Guanajuato, Mexico, moved to Santa Rita around June 7, moved to the Veracruz port on June 14 (missing a boat by a day), then was put on a train to Newark on June 29 (Newark for the port installed options I assume. Not sure why sent to Newark via rail vs ship). My dealership is in Eastern PA.

    Has anyone ever changed port installed options? If so did it mess things up? My truck is supposed to have factory roof rack which I will most likely take off. I would rather have a tonneau cover which would be more expensive so dealer shouldn't object to. I just don't want to throw a wrench into the already long process as it is.

    Thanks, Rod and The Hills 1234 ! I saw it on my dealer's website this weekend and it says that it was on the lot rather than in transit. I emailed my salesman Saturday morning, and he responded that it was in freight status, and "I am expecting it to arrive shortly." I think its just poor communication and busy at the dealership rather than any game they are playing as its at MSRP dealer and he has been very straight with me so far. I'll give everyone an update once I hear from my salesman.

    Edited to add - they must have got a full trailer or two of Tacos Friday as they now have 17 "on the lot" (and another 13 in transit) but on Friday, they had three or four on the lot. Not sure how many are spoken for except for one ! :thumbsup:)
