One day my a/c stopped working and I received a blinking light at the a/c button. Every since, every time I turn on the a/c, it would try to start up, makes a grinding noise then turns off and the a/c light blinks.

I checked the fuse, no breakage. swap the relay with the horn relay, still good. I did a quick visual after turning on the a/c to see the compressor spinning, so replay shouldn't be the problem. The pulley should be ok since I didn't hear any noise from that right? I spun the compressor by hand, and it seems to be easy to do so. Is it the clutch that is causing the problem when engaged? how hard would it be to replace if that's the problem.

    thanks guys.

Definitely the clutch, I had the same problem. Not hard to fix, 1 bolt on the front, just have use something to keep the pulley from spinning while breaking the bolt loose

Leveling kit, wheel spacers, personally fabricated modified frame, and some sweet diamond plate to cover up a smashed driver side! Because I was stupid
The blower motor went out on mine. Its under the dash on the passenger side. I bought a new one on Amazon for $20. That might not be your problem but an easy fix if you can’t find the problem elsewhere
