Amazon Prime Day July 12 & 13, 2022-Post Up Those Deals!

I just bought the River Pro with 160 solar panel and the extra battery. This was about 3 weeks ago, and the price was the same as the Prime Day deal. They pretty much always have a big coupon on Amazon.

Unfortunately, the main unit was malfunctioning right out of the box. It seemed to charge and had 12/120v outputs but the display screen was dead. Sent it back a couple days ago.
Customer service is meh. On their site if you click on the warranty claim link, it just takes you back to the product registration page, big circle jerk going nowhere. First thing I noticed when unboxing them is you're warned multiple times to save all packaging for future returns. Didn't give me a good feeling, and it turns out it was very good advice.

I am still waiting on the replacement unit, but I'm not sure I would go with this brand if I had to do it over. A lot of the features are dependent on the app you have to download, and the connection is wi-fi instead of bluetooth. It seemed to have a very hard time making a connection to my phone. You can only charge the extra battery through the main unit, but you're not supposed to connect them unless they are both charged?? My expansion battery wouldn't charge at all regardless. Customer service says when the replacement unit arrives, they need to do a firmware update in order to charge the extra battery. Don't know why they can't send a unit with current updates already installed? I'm almost sure I'm going to have to return the extra battery later on. The cable connectors for the expansion battery seem like they could break off if you were accidentally rough with them(even using the retaining screws.)

Overall, EcoFlow has some good features for a decent price, but they have a lot of drawbacks. Quality control being the biggest, my unit probably wasn't even tested before being sent out. And the fact that you need the phone app could make it a poor choice for any sort of grid-down situation. Overall build quality is also somewhat underwhelming. This is all just my opinion of course

Apparently my wife canceled Prime, what's the price showing?

 

I've only had one instance where an item was not eligible for a return. I got a 12" subwoofer when I ordered a 10" but there was no avenue for return even when I reached out on the day the package was received. This was a third party seller with free shipping rather than prime iirc

 

3rd party, gotcha. I only buy at minimum shipped by Amazon.

 

The few items I saw posted as a prime deal were cheaper or significantly cheaper elsewhere.

 

Lmao, yeah enough to look for it to say &free returns, probably just the $7 to return it but it’s a bigger item so am wary to not get stuck with a bigger cost if it’s more.

but totally sent it anyways, any carrier like that is 400$+
