What if you don't want a factory turboed Tacoma, or just don't like what the 4th gen Tacoma is about. Do you go for a Honda Ridgeline with a normally aspirated V6?

    A Ridgeline is a uni-body crossover, not a body on frame truck…

Also isn’t everything still just rumors at this point? How can you dislike something that isn’t even confirmed? I would love to see a full electric option but i doubt we’ll get it.

Those are trucks, well except for Maverick. That's a utility vehicle.

Not BOF, but a more traditional power plant. Unless Honda goes turbo4.

Lots of talk of people not wanting a turbo4 Tacoma.

Count me in with those lots of people lol. I just can't see a much higher compression ratio forced induction motor having the same reliability long term. Especially considering having to rebuild the turbo's as well, big yikes. I would love something light the f150 lightning, 300+ miles range, 0-60 in 4.3 seconds, 7700lbs towing capacity.

I’m waiting to see what the 4th gen actually is before I make any decisions. If the choices aren’t good I’ll probably go late model 3rd gen

2012-2015 Tacomas still available, but currently priced stupid.

2016-2017 Tundras are cheaper than Tacomas. Just picked up a (real) long bed 2016 for 19,999 with 150k on it.

If you don’t need all that and want fancy new stuff the Ridgeline is actually a great “vehicle” to be honest, albeit not really for the same purposes (also albeit perfect for exactly what most truck owners use their beefy 4x4 Toyota for…).

Other than that, if you need heavy duty a Chevy 3500 HD with the 6.0 gasser (2011-2019) will ride better than an F350 6.2…

That’s about it for truck options these days.

I've had one of the original first gen Ridgelines and it was a decent city runabout and transport vehicle.

No way the current Ridgeline would even be an option for me, as needs for a truck included towing over 5,000lbs with a frame and live axle.
It all depends on what you want to do with it. If you don't need or want to tow, the Ridgeline could be an option.
