Yes, I got my 1st picture of him the night of January 13th, 2021....and got pictures at least twice per week, then the last picture was August 22nd, 2021, unknown to me someone saw him about 2.5 miles away in a been field around late August and took a picture, he came back in mid-October. I hunted him a few times, on the morning of October 19th I had back issues and didn't go, he showed up just after daylight, then 12pm he showed up on October 25th but I wasn't hunting that day. October 29th my 51st birthday, he showed up just at sunrise but no shot, he then came back grunting looking for the does and I shot him at 20 yards all on video. I wished I was hunting with my Mathews but I can't draw it with my back, so I used a crossbow. after 60 days of drying he scored 141-2/8" only 3" of deductions, live weight was 230 lbs., dressed out at 184 lbs. can't wait to get him back from the taxidermist

 

That is awesome, glad you were able to get him after seeing him so many times and knowing how far he traveled!!!

 

my hunting area in my home state is 3 miles into the woods from where I park, if I go in the easy way I have no choice but to walk through a known bedding area, it took my friend and I 4 hrs to get him out in a jetsled....Yes I was hurting that night and days after but screw it, it was all worth it

I hope my kids can get them with the crossbow. Lot of times the neighbors kill them. Youth day is September 24th and my kids can use any weapon if we can't get one the first couple weeks.

Wish they had that when I was young.
