CV Axle deal depth- Driver side

I’ve already searched the forums for more detailed info but couldn’t find what I was looking for. I know the driver side seal is supposed to be driven in 5mm but I’m not sure where that’s measured from. Should the seal be flush with the inner lip of the differential? Thank you for any tips you guys can give.

 

I bought the seal install tool when doing my bushing.
The tool seats the seal flush with the inside lip best I remember.
Yours looks like a it’s protruding out a little. Flush is what everyone told me, and the install tool went flush.

 

Just make it flush.
