You are correct, but only if it is on the right sleeve of the uniform. The Star field should always be moving forward. That’s the “going into battle” you spoke of. If you place this flag on the right “side” of the truck it would be correct. Otherwise the Star Field should always be in the upper left side of the flag, even if the flag is displayed vertically. However, I appreciate the patriotism. We need a lot more of that these days. And, thank you for your service. I have the highest level of respect for law enforcement.

 

Added heated front seats, Clazzio leather and N2 design remote start will be here tomorrow. Clazzio’s we’re not that bad at all. 2hrs or less. I put them in the Sun and that helped a lot. A little tug here and there but not as bad as I was expecting. I will tighten them up more next week.

I noticed this also when I saw the original post. My children even point out flags being displayed improperly now to me. I’ve hard to continue telling myself…it’s not my flag it’s all of our flag.

I’ve seen a lot of people display the flag and not realize they were doing anything against the flag code or showing disrespect to the flag. It’s all about education and being tactful which I don’t see anything wrong with how you approached this situation.

I’ve never supported flag burning or flying the flag upside down but in those obvious signs of disrespect I try to consider it a reflection of their character.

I also don’t believe the OP was attempting to be patriotic in display. I don’t believe it was an attempt to intentionally display the flag in violation of the flag code.

My two cents…at least we are all patriotic in the situation!
