Lol I did try Westbound Barton once...
The suspension on these cars is actually smoother than most people would think, when it is in street mode.
Plus the front end lifts up about 2-3" when you press a button.

Couple spots I could do 50, but holy crap 1" sidewall tires are not meant for that road.
I was sure I was going to be replacing tires after going down there. (even got out and checked, then apologized to the car before proceeding).
    Won't be cruisin there again.

Never realized how bad that road can be,
driving around in the Tacoma it seemed smooth as silk. Just a little more tire noise than usual.
In the car it was like being the marble in a coffee can.

    nope, Radiator stayed in place.

unbolt the fan shroud, lift up a bit (bottom is attached via a hook-like thing), unbolt the 4 nuts for the "Fluid coupling assembly" (fan clutch), lift both sort-of up
rotate the fan shroud (lift left side up first as there is a tab that bumps into the radiator hose by the cap at the top), slip the fan clutch assembly out between the shroud and the rad (see image 2, basically through that hole)

    reverse that for re-installation.

was gonna order the fanclutch if it didn't arrive today from Toyota.

am considering going 100% overlander and getting jackery "SoLaR gEnErAtOr" either 1000 (for $1100) or 1500 (for $1500)

Looks good...I have been contemplating this as well. Cap has seen better days and with all the wheeling, window seals leak a bit

    Looks good!

I keep thinking about taking mine off, I think it would look better.
I’d miss the covered storage but, a flush tool box and tonneau would get almost the same job done.

Just beat me to it

Dual battery is a bit cheaper but not as good for longer camps. Also not as swapable between vehicles.

It depends how much and what you do.
Battery + mount + BMS + solar+ wires + inverter can be a bit pricey. Also the new permanent weight
