Just bought a 2003 or 2004 quad cab from a friend. He was having transmission problems. Automatic transmission, looses power, will not pull. Anything I need to start with or should I just take it to transmission shop?
Thanks for adding me. First Toyota tacoma, but have had cars before. Hope the truck turns out as good as the cars.

Thanks for the welcomes. It is a 2004, January 2004 build date. It is in transmission shop, complete rebuild. Shop I've been using for years. Cagle tranmissions in Memphis, Tennessee. Good folks, good work, stand behind their work. When I get her out I will start cleaning her up and seeing what all I need to do and then what I want to do to make her purdy!
