Whats up everyone, fairly new member here. I've got a 99 single cab 2rz manual transmission. I'm having to troubleshoot a no start which I'm thinking is electrical. I'm a newbie to electrical troubleshooting so I'm a little overwhelmed as far as what needs to be looked over. I have all the info from the FSM that I was able to find online. I can understand the engine control wiring diagram enough to look for certain connectors and pins when troubleshooting. How do I test for power by myself on a manual transmission? Since power is only supplied while cranking, is there a workaround to that since I am working solo for the time being? I've read other posts regarding troubleshooting no starts and I can grasp what is being talked about, the part where I could use some help is using a multimeter to check for ohms/continuity. I will write an in depth post as I continue to work on my taco truck. If any of you out there are electrical wizards and care to help a fellow yotie out I'd really appreciate it.

Always best to start with what steps you've already tried- and also let us know what is happening- you didn't mention anything about whether the battery is good or if the starter is clicking, etc... Have you checked the simple stuff? Battery, fuses, and relays, etc... ?

So battery is good, fuses are good, engine is cranking so starter is good, checked relays (efi, starter, fuel pump) for continuity and they were to specs according to the FSM, fuel pump runs with 12v direct from the battery so pump is good. I checked ignition coil pack 1 and 2 with a multimeter for resistance (fsm has specs fr hot/cold but not sure how to check resistance on a "hot" coil pack). I'm doing this by myself so I'm having a hard time checking for power at various points since it is a manual transmission and certain components only get power while it's cranking. Is there a workaround to this?
