Most people don't talk about the plastic alignment pins between the bed and the frame. I am not sure why they are used, because they don't alight the bed with the cab, and they can cause the lean if they are pinched between the bed and frame.

More likely your drivers side is high as the passenger side looks right. Take a look where the bed mounts to the frame make sure it set all the way down.

As @mitt22 mentioned above make sure that nothing is pinched in between the bed & where it mounts.

I just reread your post. As your truck is brand new you should have the dealer fix it.

There is no difference between Mexican and American made Tacoma’s.

My 2017 was built in Mexico. It's been on of the most reliable vehicles I've owned and quality control is good too. From what I've read, Toyota ramped up production to meet demand and a some owners had issues with panel gaps and alignment.

Some friends have issues with their trucks, there are some videos on YouTube discussing it, and I’ve noticed on trucks on dealer’s lots.

Bed is touching frame on both sides. Was hoping it was a quick fix, doesn’t seem to be the case.

Once I get my camper shell tucked in there, I know I won’t be able to see it.

Sure. But it doesn’t meant most Tacoma trucks are slapped together with panel gaps, loose trim, etc.

    That’s just non sense.

I guess I’ll just have to recut the rear window.
