    Sorry to hear.

    What state?
    License plate#

    VIN #?

I know some guys don’t like posting that information, but in this situation I don’t see how it will hurt?

I live in Tn, and I’ve not seen many Tacoma’s in that color around my area. I keep an eye out buddy.
    Good luck on recovering it.

I have good news! My truck was recovered last night about half an hour away. Has no damage and I am driving it around again. Praise God! I am very thankful to have it back again!

It’s a sad world when you have to be thankful for being able to drive the truck you own again.
    Glad everything went well op!

That's awesome that you were able to get your truck back and without damage. I personally know that feeling of having a vehicle stolen. I did get the truck back, but it had some front end damage. The three POSs that stole my truck were caught (while driving my truck) but never went to trail or prosecuted. I repaired the truck, (1976 Chevy LUV) traded it in on a brand new on the showroom floor, 1977 Mazda Rotary Truck. Best part was I got $5 more on the trade in for the Chevy LUV than what I paid for it.

Will you be taking any defensive measures to try and prevent or make it more difficult from hapening again?

Question is, how was it stolen? If there was no damage that means they had the key....

Both the taco and my work truck have coded Clifford alarms. Both have chip keys. If a thief manages to start and drive away, they'd only get maybe 1/8 mile before the alarm shuts it off. Unfortunately Clifford alarms got bought out & closed by dei.

I know the popular opinion is that aftermarket alarms are evil but I can sleep easy knowing my property is somewhat protected. In 2012 my work truck was stolen & I lost about $30k worth of tools. Buying replacements was much more. I definitely wouldn't want to go through that again.

Anyhow, glad yours is back. Later on, you might find something, like a missing or swapped part somewhere. Sometimes they'll steal it because they need a part.

That is good news. Did you have to dish out some money to get your truck back?

Police called me this morning and said another county had found my truck with a lady driving it. She has stolen 3 cars so far this year, has been on drugs etc. Must not have been very brilliant to leave license plates on and go driving around like that. She left all my belongs in it plus a whole truck load of her trash, including 2 phones and a laptop... :) Truck was still in good condition just smelled a little peculiar, (drugs, vape or smoke??) inside.

I had to pay $250 for getting it towed last night. Other than that I am just feeling VERY thankful to have my truck back!
