So is that a (rubber) spacer above the spring? Is this how the 22s get their extra lift?

I believe that's just some kind of isolator or something so you don't have metal on metal. I believe they all have that above the coil.

No regrets getting a Pro. No matter what colour or what year I always give the Pro a second look when I see one around.

After staring at this photo for some time. I believe that the 22' pros have a thicker isolator pad at the top. It seems to be perhaps 1/4" thicker than my 21' pro.
Photo of my front pass taken on a relatively level driveway. The 21' with stock UCA looks like slightly less drop angle / height. Mine seems to be a steel spacer with part numbers stamped on the edge. The one on the 22' seems to be a thicker rubber isolator with no numbers on the side. It also seems like its not nicely seated, I.E. / RE: eibach/toyota spring coil flat vs not flat issue. Not sure whats related here.

Also i have seen a couple of 21' pros and we all have white/silver paint pen hash marks on our springs. Have not seen it on the three 22' pros i have encountered so far.

Currently, my best guess for the front is 1/4" thicker isolator pad, and a different spring (#'s or length? who knows). At least compared to the previous 21 model.

Here's my PRO - just got it 2 months ago and I have to say I do love it. I have a Tundra Limited coming in early Sept - decisions, decisions. Either way, I had a '20 Manual and now my '21 pro is an AT - I wouldn't call the issue gear 'hunting' but rather the trans is a bit too eager to shift into the next gear at lower speeds - so maybe that is hunting?? o_O . Its most pronounced for me going from 2nd to 3rd rather quickly, then giving it more gas as I continue to accelerate and it needs to kick back down to 2nd again. Its unique and quite frankly not that big of a deal but its certainly not the most dialed in auto I've driven (that'd be my wife's '19 X5). Seat position isn't as bad as I remembered it either - I'm 6'3" and its fine, though the truck could use an additional 1" of headroom and the steering wheel could use a solid additional 1" of tele/tilt. I think these journalists tend to overcook things sometimes.

FYI, I think the FOX internal bypass shocks are worth the price of admission alone.

I have a friend with a OR dclb longbed and he hunted it for months. I understand those are extremely rare. I have never seen a pro dclb longbed, and manual transmissions are roughly 5% of the entire tacoma market, so i'd assume a pro with manual and longbed is just called Unicorn

The closest you're gonna get is a 2015 Pro ACLB...but they only made 75 of those. So the amount of those that came in manual? Maybe 20? From 2017 on, (there was no Pro in 2016) all Pros came in DCSB.

Daily driving the MT got a little annoying (esp where I live) + insane trade in values. I should say the '20 was an OR, not a PRO, and always wanted to get into a PRO so that figured a bit into it.

I had no issues with the feel of the manual, i think its pretty good for what it is. I added the TRD cement '8' ball shifter which made quite a difference for my big mitts.

In Canada, you can only get a manual transmission in Off Road Access Cab (long bed), TRD Sport Premium (short bed) and TRD Pro (short bed). TRD Pro is only available in DCSB. So, no manual transmission TRD Pro with a long bed.
