I noticed my taco was pulling to the right so I got an alignment done on it. But the dragging persisted so got it double checked and everything was good.

I jacked the truck up come to find out my breaks are lightly dragging on both the the front driver and passenger side.

is this a job that requires a caliper replacement?

If so would it be cheaper to do it myself or just take it in? If it’s better for me to do it myself where would I find oem parts or do I just go with duralast gold parts from autozone?

First things first you can do some basic visual inspections and troubleshooting to determine where the problem lies. If you have the wrenching skills and know-how put it on jackstands and look for problems - pads wearing at an angle (caliper misalignment or crooked piston), brake line/hose issues, etc. Check that your master cylinder reservoir isn't overfilled. You could try bleeding the brakes but be sure you know what you are doing before you start.

No way to know without getting in there and taking a look. Some people like throwing new parts at a problem and hope to fix it, some people like to try diagnosing first.

DIY will always be cheaper assuming you have the skills to do the job.

Speaking in very generic terms OEM Toyota parts are highest quality (oh boy I can't wait to get ripped on for saying that). Duralast Gold seem to get good reviews and I've used them on other vehicles in the past. Best place to get lowest price OEM parts is online, I prefer using Lewis Toyota of Topeka (Kansas/midwest) because they have lowest price for my geographical location but some people like other dealers like Conicelli (east coast) or another one I can't remember now that is best for west coast.

Looks like your profile picture is a 3rd gen. I have a 2nd gen which is basically the same brakes but you also might get more specific 3G suggestions over in the 3rd gen section. Good luck.

I was rear ended a 6 days after I got the truck and I recently started to pay attention to the truck pulling to the right I’m not sure what it could be, I’m going to take all this advice and check things out myself and reply once I have a better idea. I’m not sure but I’m worried I have a slightly bent frame. The thing is everyone has been telling me that the frame looks good but I haven’t paid for a full inspection of the frame. I worry if it is I won’t be able to trade it in.
