I have the front and rear anytime camera setup and was wondering if anyone has added a recording devise to it. The idea would be to toggle the front and rear and when activated it would record until your returned the switch to the off position. My apologies if this has already been discussed.

I have the anytime front camera on mine. I seem to recall someone complaining that the camera overheats if left on very long. Since I use the camera only for short times, I can't comment. But I would think that might limit what you suggest. A dash cam does that quite well.
