Yeah that's really new. Give it some time for sure. I wasn't used to a lot of stuff in these trucks coming from 90s beater pickups so I thought a lot of stuff was weird at first. In the video everything seems normal to me also.

Your cats are being warmed up. Has nothing to do with coolant temp display. Read up pdf on your engine somewhere in stickies.

Mine does this too at 15k miles now. It's normal as far as I know. It doesn't do it everytime like on very hot days or if it's up to temperature and I turn it off and restart it after 1 min or so. But if I do a short drive and turn it off for 15 min before restarting it, it will idle around 1 to 1.3k for like 30 seconds to a minute max before settling down. Very rarely have I shifted into gear before letting it do its thing and settle down. Maybe it's not normal, but mine has been doing it since day 1 and I don't think this is the only car I've owned that's done it. My intuition tells me it's normal, for whatever that's worth bro.

I think that is okay compared to what you noted in the 1st Post. Give it time.

I don't get the jumping when you put it in gear at a high idle. My truck engages very smooth when i go from park to reverse, or drive when at 1100-1200 rpm. Its when it gets above 1300, or so you better have the brake on.

Sometimes it’s smooth, especially when going into reverse. But, if I’m not patient and put it into drive too soon it will kinda jerk. I think I just need to wait a little longer.

Yeah, i always wait till the high idle drops to around 1000-1100 rpm.
