Never been to the dunes myself but it's on my list of places to see. Have fun, share pics when you get back!

Never cease to be amazed by how rude people can be. Guy puts up his chair close to mine and is using an umbrella. Blocking my view and up in my space. Then someone walking through didn't want to go to the end of the isle so they just yank our wagon out of the way to make room....

There’s some guys with big tires still getting 19. You just also need gears and a super charger and the yotawerx tune ;)

Hey serious question time: For those of you with traction boards, are MaxTrax still the "best" ones out there? Or are any of the cheaper options comparable in quality nowadays?

    So. Many. Stickers.
MaxTrax are still the bees knees.

I get 19/21 out of my sport on 33s (and armor) pretty regularly. Haven't re-geared it yet.

Maxtrax still seem to be the best.

That said, my Maxsa escaper buddies have been serving me well. Half the price, and the reviews are very good.

Relentless Fab hybrid bumper, 2.5” Dobinsons IMS lift, RCI skids and sliders, block heater. Rola rack. Painted FJ Steelies. Was trying to keep it stock, now slowly building for the Wisconsin trails.
With the current gas prices I have focused on my fuel economy last few tanks. I was getting an indicated (not actual) high 21's before I changed to the steelies and wildpeaks. Then it dropped to around 19. Last tank was an indicated 21.5 but I had to drive it like a diesel. kept it under 2500 rip-ems when accelerating. I sure didn't get anywhere fast, but surprisingly it actually didn't get me to my destinations all that much later.
Helps that most of my commute is not during peak hours and is a mix of country and suburban roads.

Next tank I will do the actual calculation just to see how far the 'puter is off.

I really need to. Camerasandcoffee really doesn't have that pizazz of a quality loser name.

    I like it. :notsure:

Mine is the same username I had on MySpace. I actually got shot down for two other ones I tried because they were supposedly already taken.

I had a day off today, and I didn't get anything done that I had planned to, but I learned a lot and am a couple steps closer to buying this truck off of lease.

If anyone cares to know, here are a few things I learned...
    • In Wisconsin, you can't buy out your lease directly from TFS. They make you go through a stealership.
    • Even though TFS owns the truck (not the dealer), the dealer is legally allowed by the state to charge processing fees up to a certain amount, which I believe is $399.
    • A certain Z dealership in Racine county charges the $399 processing fee and ALSO attempts to illegally charge an additional $1495 "Lease Buyout Fee."
    • When you question this fee, they politely tell you that you can do the lease buyout at any dealership, effectively telling me that they don't want trouble and that I should try somewhere else. They will not back down on this fee.
    • Andrew Toyota in Milwaukee has no such buyout fee and they were a pleasure to work with to get what I needed to take to my CU.
I should own the truck by Tuesday. I will have the new hard tonneau cover ordered by Wednesday. Oh, I also learned from the CU that my truck, nearly 3 years old with 33,000+ miles on it, is worth almost $5,000 more than the sticker price when I leased it! I could make a bunch of money on it, but I just want to own it and drive it and not shop for another right now.
