Instal was pretty straight forward, used a variety of 14mm sockets and wrenches to get to the bolts. Tom Woods provides new hardware but it is external torx bolts. I don’t have any of these sockets so I reused the oem hardware.

The winds must be off or the media is blowing it out of proportion. Last 2 days there were crystal clear. Had one smoky day around Tuesday

Media is blowing it out of proportion as they always do. It's a 4300 acre fire that is somewhat close to redwoods...
Meanwhile, there's 1.7 million acres currently active in Alaska and you don't hear a peep

how much difference is there in having a local driveshaft shop build you a one piece driveshaft and balance it vs paying $700 for the tom woods driveshaft?

So the wife and I took a trip to her hometown in MN and then went up to Madeline Island for a couple days. Absolutely beautiful! It was my first time in the North/Midwest and I’m excited to come back!! Pretty crazy for a Florida boy who lives in California to say something so sacrilegious huh?! I did relinquish my Tacoma for a rental car though as we flew out… But the rental agency ended up messing up our reservation so they gave us a free upgrade to a 2022 Tesla Model Y! Who thought it was a bright idea to give the 21 year old the “keys” to a brand new Tesla?!? After putting a couple hundred miles on it and costing only about $40 for our whole trip in charging costs, I’m kind of sold on Tesla’s.043B429E-502C-4E2D-B38E-CDC5DFB476A6.jpg72A8C79E-4774-4134-82D7-77E91CC104C8.jpg

Added these vled flush mount lights as off-road running lights. Not super necessary but it’s nice for the people in front of you to be able to easily see you behind them, at least where I wheel. Overcast and trees everywhere and it’s easy to lose someone into the background. They pack a pretty good punch, I wouldn’t want to run them on the road.

Going next weekend and was a little worried about conditions as well, glad to hear the valley isn’t too affected. The sequoias are being pretty well protected too from what I’m reading, they’re doing a good job keeping them safe with all the preventative measures they’ve taken in terms of eliminating fuel sources. Nice rig too

Woooo! Two new G type chipped keys made on the spot!!!

By a really cool locksmith out of Bend Oregon (Knights Locksmith), 60 miles out of Bend Oregon, up in the beautiful Cascade Mountain range, next to a really nice lake, a nice lake with a set of Tacoma keys sitting 70 feet below its surface...I tried fishing for them with my 25 lb fishing magnet with no luck. I usually "always" give the wife a spare set for any road trip...usually always.

Stupid fee? $300 but he was a really nice locksmith.

Edit to add... went to my local locksmith back at home today. He reprogrammed my spare chip key (OEM Toyota) and programmed a new fob. $140 and I'm back in the game.

I now have two master chip keys, a chip key, and two fobs. And I bought a floating key ring...
