Toyota team, hello to all. My Toyota Tacoma truck sits the whole week infront of my garage. I use it only during weekends to buy nails in Home Depot. Since its been parked the whole week, people assume that its a non-op
vehicle and I have been receiving several offers to buy my Tacoma truck. Buyers leave notes with their name and contact number. My questions is there is no For Sale sign posted in my truck or my forehead. Where do they get the idea that my truck is for sale…heaven help me. Enjoy your weekend. Thanks

The word TOYOTA, translated to English means 4-Sale.

You should call them back and tell them you have a PhD in behavioral health, and that you can help them with their fetish.

Team, i meet several first gen tacoma owners in the parking lot and gas stations. According to them, interested people offer them to buy their truck. I have the same experience and Tacoma is really a sought after vehicle as compared to other trucks in the same generation. Congratulations to us.

2000 extended cab, silver, automatic, 4wd, replaced timing belt and assembly 2020, replaced offroad tires 2021, replaced shocks, tint & window sidings 2022. Preowned by California Fish and Wildlife and bought in Department of General Services with 107,000 miles only. DMV does not have a record of the State truck and looks like an undercover vehicle. DMV created a new record for my use. Current mileage is 123,000 and yes it is not for sale. Thanks

While I love my 02 & 22 tacomas, my true passion is old Square body 73-87 chevys ( particularly the Military CUCV's)
I rent a piece of land in an industrial zone to park my parts/project trucks. At any given time I have 10-15 of these trucks there.
I had 1 Jackass write a note on my hood leaving his phone # asking if I want to sell 1 of the trucks?
Who would write on someone else's truck with a permanent black marker?
Consider yourself lucky they left a note.

The Military CUCVs and Fords were popular in Clark Airbase and Subic Naval Base during the 80s and 90s then. The old trucks were auctioned to the public and my friend and I were able to acquire the Chevy truck. Camo truck roaming in the streets and those are bad ass trucks.

You’re not missing anything, it happens. I seem to get unsolicited compliments on the garage queen every few weeks. A while back I parked it on the street while I cleaned out the garage and a guy slow-rolled by then came back and asked if I was selling it. Told him no but he offered 7K which I took as an insult. Had a neighbor stop by while I was puttering on the truck and ask a bunch of questions about it. Turned out he was looking to buy something for his son and thought my Tacoma would be great. I agreed it would be great but my truck was not for sale at any price.

Within the last two weeks, I had some gal in a run-of-the-mill SUV say 'Nice Truck" out her window. I gave her the thumbs up. Then yesterday a guy beside me asked if "is this the one day a week you drive that truck?" He went on to say it was beautiful! My truck has 283K miles on it and drive it daily. These are becoming very special in people's eyes.

    Head swell time....................... LOL

At least the note is on the truck asking you to sell and not sitting on your empty driveway thanking you for the nice truck. :D

I park mine in the garage so I don't have those issues. However, let it be a testiment to how good these trucks are.
