Jada 1/64 Firestone bug.

 

The Gasser Room. Recently we did a considerable amount of remodeling through out the house. This room received new carpet and paint. The pictures make the carpet look gray but it is actually light brown. Everything had to come out and then be put back. I filled the upstairs bathroom including the tub with trays of this stuff. Got through it all with very little damage. Besides all of the cars my photography and artwork are on all the walls. Also have a section set aside for family mementos. There is also 24 feet of shelves that run across the garage that hold 3 rows of cars. This is about as close to manageable I will ever get with this. There is a picture in all of this that I had drawn when I was 6. What kind of car is it?

When I bought this kit the plan was to build it as a two tone green Gasser but the paint clumped as I began to paint the body. Remember to always shake the can and test spray to avoid what I did. Duh!
After re-sanding the body it was obvious I was not going to get the finish I had hoped for after the primer was applied. I actually liked the primered look after test fitting so of it so I left it go as is. The body is about the only thing that was left from the original kit.
The Ramchargers Challenger is one of the cars I found stashed at Walmart a few months back. The vulture had 3 of them tucked away along with everything else.
The Canfield swap meet today was a disappointment somewhat. Too many yard sales, vultures, craft shops and stuff from China displays. Its not like it used to be. I did pick up a really nice Car Quest black 40 Ford with flames. 1/24 scale die cast for $20. Kept thinking "Gasser Project".
Scored 3 Hot Wheels Gasser's 2-55 Chevy's and a Nova. All older along with a black 40 Willy's from Hot Wheels.

I placed an order with them for their 10mm / 12mm 1/64 Gasser wheels. They came in Saturday and look great.
You just drill out the rivets and snap the old wheels out and snap these in. Any Hot Wheels with plastic bottoms can be swapped out easily by just putting some pressure on the plastic. Metal bottoms require a pencil grinder or snipping the axel to slide it in place. You can do the modification for $3-$5 per car. The results I am getting I'd say it is worth it. These are what you see on a lot of William63s stuff. I bought enough to do 15 cars for $60. They are also located here in Ohio not Malaysia.

Took my son on his first camping trip. Been saving these metal body trucks I had as a kid for him to tear up just like I did haha.





Looks like the C10 was on a rescue mission to save the old Jeep LOL

 

Maybe you should look on EBay what those are selling for. I have a Late 70s Chevy pickup of one of those that is going for up to $90. I posted it a month ago. When I got it, mold was all over it and I thought it was rusting but it cleaned up to near mint condition with the only marks being on the bumpers. That Jeep has a nice patina.
