Stupid question to everyone but does anyone possibly have a engine hoist that I can borrow? I would only need it for like a weekend.
This is an idea of what I am looking at:

Ive got one, but unfortunately Im not very close... Keep an eye on Facebook and Craigslist, they pop up fairly often for pretty cheap since they are big and nobody wants to keep them.

Or looks like they can be rented

    https://www.sunbeltrentals.com/equipment-rental/0730011/engine-hoist/

Sunbelt has a location in Springfield it looks like.

I have chain falls, etc, if you need them. No engine hoist readily available.

On another note, not sure on the seat part yet. Gonna experiment tomorrow after ortho.
And I caved, ordered a new ubolt flip and bump kit from @ARCHIVE, instead of messing with universal stuff...hoping it can get here in time to bang it out real fast this weekend... reduce one more little worry.

Well, I didn’t call any shops for the crankshaft thing. Turns out, used mowers are like….$150 bucks at the most. So. I’m going to go the hammer/breaker bar route on this bad larry after work today, if that works, I will use it. If not, then I’ll pitch it for 100$ and buy a new one

It’s served 4.5 good years, definitely overpaid for it when I bought it looking back now that I know what the used market is like. Hoping I can save it, it has another 20 years to give if I can.

Either that, or winter project - new crankshaft is like 30$ but is a PROJECT to rebuild. I could get a cheapo for the rest of the year, pitch that one in the spring once this one’s gone under the knife.

I also do need to sharpen the blades. :notsure: that’s easy though.

Big ass hammer. And made this as my dial indicator. It's like it was designed to be used this way.

It's better. Not perfect. It's a lawn mower. Meh. I'll use it for another 5 years until I come across another rock or something. Do need to sharpen blades still though.

It's clearly an improvement to the standard dial indicator.
    It's a dialless dial indicator.

Eyes are actually pretty good at some things. Eyes are the reason optical comparators were invented. The use of 7 digits when only 2 are required just complicates the problem.

I looked. No one around this area.
Thank you.....I will look into this.
Need the movable one but thanks anyway. @ARCHIVE makes the best U-bolt flip kit on the market.
I am replacing the lithium electric battery out of my parents 2013 Ford C-Max. It is located behind and underneath the back seats, it has it go into the back hatch, and it weights 296lbs

We had been talking of doing front end stuff...tie rod ends and sleeves. Some will be going deeper.

I belive for Jared we are doing inner and outer tie rods with WarFab sleeves. Maybe more.

Not sure just how many but I know we can get 3-4 trucks in the air at once and room for a few others. The friends, food and beer always make for a great day!

    So far: Sat July 23rd
Wilbraham Ma. at casa de Crash
    aka tacogarage
    aka Jared's crib
    Kickoff at 9am
Bring Jack stands if you got em and need your truck up to work.

If you want to attend and need the address pm me or @crashngiggles

Edit: he's on vacation for the week,,, leave him alone. Pm me. Thanks
