Entune Problem

Anybody have a problem with their Entune head unit spontaneously restarting at random?

 

Not yet, really. In the 5 years I've had the truck it's done it 2 or 3 times.

 

Yes it is a common issue. Usually means your headunit is dying slowly.

Yes. The only way I fixed it is to download the update to a usb and install it. No issues ever since BUT the gps quit working….

at least everything else works and I can use my phone for gps.

 

Mine has recently started doing it. It’s done it twice over the last couple of weeks. I’ve had the truck over four years and it never did it until recently.

 

Mine does it at random. Might go weeks without doing it, then it'll do it twice in one day. Frustrating and at some point I will upgrade.

 

OK. I just checked and it says there are no updates available.

 

Interesting because the Truck is 7 years old and just started doing it within the past couple of weeks.

 

What radio do you have in the Tacoma? It looks like there is an update file for Premium/Premium Plus radios. When I purchased my truck it had frequent radio reboots. The dealership installed an update which completely resolved the issue. That was probably seven years ago.

 

I went to the update website, looked up my truck and it said No updates available.

It just so happens I'm due for scheduled maintenance so when I take it, and I'll ask about it.

 

2015 here, I haven’t yet, still working.
