Hi guys, new 3rd gen. Do I need to reset anything when I fill the tank for tank mpg?

    Sorry for the dumb question.

Your Average Tank MPG and Miles to Empty will reset on their own with each fill up.

And of course you can use your trip odo and get the real number...Mine has differed a bit from the cpu when calculating myself...it's surprisingly close however.

And you've got your ECO page in the apps that will show you your 1min mpg average over the last 15mins

Thanks guys. I had ultraguage on my 2nd gen, after several tanks of gas I was also shocked how accurate it was. Especially with how much fuel left in tank. Super accurate, never worried about running out of gas.

I'm not THAT old and yet I find myself surprised at what this truck does compared to my 2012...

So can anyone tell me where the sensor is for the fill up? How does it work? what if I fill half a tank?

It probably works of the same float that gives your amount in tank. The float is calibrated so it sends that same info to computer which tells it you put gas in the tank and how much.

My question is where do you find your overall average from say new ? Does it change if you reset your trip A or B ? I'm a new 3rd gen owner also and miss my 2015 every day. My opinion was best Tacoma ever if your not into all the tech.

I just use the Trip A for the mpgs. Just reset the trip every time you fill up. Just remember to record the trip mpg before you reset the trip. Once you put the tranny into D, the mpg resets.

Same. Trip A per tank and Trip B for the oil mileage. I do write the oil one down though just in case. If I take a long trip like I'll use that for B.

For the record, I do not miss my 2012. I am loving this truck. I wanna sleep in it, lay next to it, drive it, eat in it, etc...

    Hi guys,
I am relatively new to this forum.
I picked up a 2022 TRD OR Long Bed in May 2022. It's been about 2 months.
My ECO page constantly shows no information without any update/change. I've tried pressing 'clear' and 'update' button as well, but there is no information getting updated.
    Anyone have any idea?
    Thanks.

Minor complaint, but I put 5 gallons from a can into mine (not fillup) and the mpg reset.

Does not sound like it is working. My '18 records automatically. Might want to take it to the dealer for a fix.

    Thank you.
Should I even bother trying to disconnect the battery to see if it resets and starts working?
