    I have 4Runner 17" wheels & 265/65r17 Grapplers g2 to replace 22 Offroad factory wheels & tires.
I'd prefer leaving the TPMS in the factory wheels and just buy a good set to put in new wheels.

Been quoted $130.00 taxes and reprogramming if needed to pull TPMS from factory wheels and put them on new wheels not a bad price but reselling the wheels without them would be harder.
The tire center wants $85 a piece ..so that's a no go!!!!!!

Any suggestions on a good quality set?

Your stock wheels aren’t worth much regardless.

You have brand new oem sensors in your wheels, and your wanting to spend money to buy aftermarket replacements. Jusy keep them and let the next person worry about it.

130 seems crazy to switch tpms sensors, you won’t need to reprogram because they are already paired to your truck. Discount tire has swapped sensors for me at no charge before.

$130 taxes included for taking sensors from factory wheels and mounting/ balancing and installing Tpms on new wheels & new tires.

It seems to be a fair price to me...is it not?

Yes, that is a fair price for all of that work.

Are the tires already on the wheels? If that includes mounting tires then yes that’s a good price. If the tires are already on the wheels and they are just switching the tpms it’s high for me, but still a better option than buying aftermarket sensors

They will have to unmount factory tires off wheels and take TPMS off the factory wheels, then mount/ balance & put the TPMS on new wheels and tires.

You don’t need to remove tires to get a tpms off, just pop the bead so they shouldn’t need to rebalance.

I have my OEM wheels and sensors.

I also have two different sets of TRD wheels with Autel 315MX Clone sensors that use the OEM sensor ID#s so there is no reprogramming the truck with new sensor ID#s.

Did you buy the Autel sensors and program them youself or did you have them installed and programmed at a shop?

That is about what the OEM sensors cost. If you want a quality sensor with a fresh battery, that's what it costs. You can find cheaper sensors that will probably work, but how old will the battery be? Will they pair and comm consistently? Will the shop install sensors that you provide and give you any kind of guarantee that they will work once the tire is installed? It's a once every 5+ year cost.

I have the Autel TS601 which allows to read sensors live and upload ID#s into the new sensor. Once the new clone sensors have the OEM ID#s, there is no programming the truck since the ID#s are the same.
