    Those are bent, I would replace them and all the valve seals.

    The plan is take them to a machine shop in Houston this week. I’ll just ask them to do whatever they need to make them ready to go for another 200k+.

    Here is the 10mm double hex tool that I used. I’ve seen a lot of misinformation and outdated info regarding the proper tool and where they can be purchased, so I’ll drop this here for everyone’s future reference.

    Not good news: Brand new engine is damaged.

    Something impacted the deck hard enough to put a dent near a coolant passage.

    I’m in the process of getting a replacement. It’s turning into quite the saga since the dealership lied to FedEx about the weight to be able to ship it ground.

    I know aluminum short blocks are light, but I don’t think I’d be able to get away with lying to FedEx saying it weighs 5 lbs like the dealership did.
