I've had a Pioneer for more than 4 years; Sometimes it randomly reboots, but it has been trouble-free otherwise...

Check offerup, I was able to get kenwood dpx794bh for 80 dollars used. Thou they posted new at 200 dollars. Didn't want all the bell and whistles since it sits so low. I just wanted something that can drive a decent set of apeakers without an amp.

One of these classic pioneer units are pretty solid. I connect my phone through USB and it works well to play music and charge it. I can also plug in a USB drive and play music on shuffle. Have had one for years and 0 issues

I thought about doing this when I bought my truck so that I can Bluetooth in, but instead I bought a mini fm broadcaster. Plugs into the cigarette lighter, connects to your phone via Bluetooth and then broadcasts onto a locally "dead" fm station. Works like a charm for like $15.The unit I have also charges USB c x2.

I've always had a fondness for these stock units - they just work, and look period correct in the vehicle

Atoto comes with Carplay. I just installed one last week, however mine was an F7 so I can't speak directly to the 6. It's a great unit for the price though.

Pioneer is good for that budget. I believe they offer both Android auto and apple car play. Had them for years with no issues.
