Ruined the first instrument film and realized the second one is far from perfect. Is there a way to remove the bubbles or am I boned and need to order more.

side note does anyone make a matte finish film?

    thank you all.

Just gotta push them out. If they don't come out wait for it to dry and see if they go away. If they don't youre screwed

Sooner than later use a sharp pin to puncture the film and release the air from the bubble.

If the bubbles are from dust/dirt/debris under the film the bubbles will never go away.

Prep and cleanliness of the install is key for a good installation. I recommend taking the cluster out of your truck for easier control of the installation process.

Does the radio in your Tacoma fall out often? Or maybe you throw your keys at it?

I'm trying to figure out the reason for the screen protector, but I got nothing.

They also don't show fingerprints - all I do is dust the screen off from time to time. No need to clean it. In the end,it's all just a matter of preference. I'm happy with mine - and agree that prep is key. Small bubbles will work through the screen after a few days.

I believe he's talking about the instrument cluster screen...the one that scratches if you look at it.

use a sewing needle and poke a hole in film then push it flat.
The film won't crease or cause wrinkles if your bubbles aren't massive.

I installed the Protech kit on my 20 Tacoma a couple of weeks ago...@chstaco is absolutely correct prep is everything (though I did not remove the cluster, thought about it, but didn't)...I cleaned all the surfaces, cleaned them again, and then for good measure, cleaned them again before applying the film, to that end, the microfiber provided in the kit is excellent...I would also recco using a LOT of the soapy solution on the surface the ppf is being applied to and both sides of the film, more than you think you need, this was a lesson I learned on the infotainment system, resulting in having to use the spare film when I was not able to position it accurately the first time...I also kept the ppf surface VERY soapy when squeegeeing and this made a huge difference in removing any air trapped under the film...Ended up with a few tiny bubbles that were gone within the first 24 hours...I found prep, liberal use of the soapy solution, and squeegee work to be key...I had a few questions and the staff at Protech was great to work with, very responsive...

I bought the kit to cover the instrument cluster that was scratched and hopefully hide some of the scratches, I heard it did that. It covered most of them but in certain lights you can see them still. It comes with the stereo screen one too which I applied because I had it but I didn’t need it. That said, it is shiny but it does seem to make the images sharper on the screen. Could be imagining it!

My former Son-in-law worked at an implement factory applying name badges on them. He had a special pin like tool to remove them kinda spring loaded.
