I have a 2014 Prerunner double cab, I just purchased 17x9 with a -12 offset wheels with 265/70/17 tires. Does anyone know if I’ll rub and how bad I will if I do? Really hoping they fit with no problem. TIA

You should be fine..lots of tacoma has -12 offset. You will most likely need to remove both front mud flats. It will probably rub when fully turned and hitting a bump (Like turning into a driveway)
Check with your local Discount tire to confirm
    https://www.discounttire.com/buy-wheels/american-racing-ar172-baja
Their website says it will fit our Tacomas ( meaning it will Clear the calipers).

    My setup on my 2012
    16x8.5 6-139.7-6p
    -6 Offset and 4.51" backspace
265/75/16 (Same tire size as yours but in 16" wheel)

    Good Luck

    Congrats on the new wheels!

The wheels would work however the additional tire height may rub as Primo 95 noted. We can confirm as well if you have mudflaps you will likely need to remove them. This setup should work however at full lock you could hit the body mount due to the low offset wheel moving the shoulder of the tire closer.

    To give you a visual

The outside lip of the new wheel is going to sit 61mm(2.4") farther away from the suspension. If your truck came stock with the 265/65R17 the new tire will be 1/2" taller and the same width. So if you put a tape measure on the shoulder of your current tire and measured out 2.4" and up 1/2", this is roughly where the edge of the new setup would sit.

You could turn your wheels from lock to lock and take measurements on the corners to confirm fitment.

Feel free to shoot us a PM if we can be of any further assitance.

I got my new wheels and tires in and installed them, I did have to remove mudflats and cut two inches from inner fender wells. They are 1/8 inch from cab mounts but only at full lock as you stated. They should be fine considering I’m only full lock at slow speeds

I am glad it all worked out for you.

lifting the front with Bilsteins 5100 set at 1.75 solves all this. It is what I have and no rubbing at all even turned off road.
