So, this is clearly just the product of poor planning, alas

The last afternoon in our BnB in Cottlesville, and I appear to have run dry on local craft ales...except for the Porter I'm saving for dessert, that is. The nearest purveyor of fine ales is a forty minute slog over pot hole ridden roads down to Twillingate, so I must make concessions

Turns out, it's not bad....yup, it's Orange Crush with vodka. But it's mixed in Canada...well, Ontario. And the Black Fly reference is pretty much on spot, given the local airborne wildlife.

And it'll tide (see what I did there?!? Newfoundland? Oceans?) me over until I can make it to Split Rock Brewery in the morning

Can’t pass on a black ipa. This one came in a mixed pack. The other beers were good but this one gooder…

 

Dangerous Man Brewing is a great place with great brews. Hopefully you were able to hit up Blackstack Brewing.

 

Maybe I'll give it a try tomorrow. Spent a good part of the afternoon at Bauhaus and eating bbq. Too hot and full to do much else after. Ha

Haven't made a Tree House run, and won't be able to before I go to the motherland for a couple weeks at the end of the month.

So made a little run to the store to grab some stuff to hold me over for the next couple weeks.

 

Recently met a future new neighbor in Daytona, Fla, who's a part of Oswego Brewery in Illinois. He was kind enough to give me a 4 pack sampler of their craft, which were all good. An IPA, a Double IPA that were tasty, even though I'm not generally big on IPAs, but I really enjoyed their Key LIme infused , and their Hayz for Horsez (with a few fruit overtones).
