Ball joint spacers and lift blocks, am I doing it right?
Swapped out my bed side decal for one in matte black. Getting the adhesive off from the original decal is a giant pain in the ass.

What. What. What burns into your pain? I want to do this mod but I need some clarity on this, I live in Florida, am I at risk?

    haha “PAINT”. Sorry bud.

it’s like when women put a heart sticker on and go into the tanning booth. The underneath of those stickers will show up for years after you take them off

Finished my custom dual battery setup. The battery tray is from Slee — it has a side support bracket to help distribute the weight of the two batteries. From what I understand it’s a cure for the cracking that happens there.

Outside of the tray everything is fully custom. The setup utilizes an over-the-tie-down bracket for modular Bussmann fuse holders. They are rated up to 400A each! It’s a very clean solution for higher-amperage distribution since you can get bussbars for them and just utilize a single feeder cable on both batteries.

The brains of the operation is a RedArc BCDC 1220. I mounted it on the passenger side utilizing some un-used threaded holes.

Project took a couple of days, but I was crimping each cable myself and taking my time to make sure I didn’t blow myself up. Glad to have that done.

Rides better than stock imo. Was nervous about going 886 with no armor in front but it really feels more stable now

    Like a Boss. Looks great!

Do I see a little interference between brake cable and leaf spring?

Making a few adjustments after a trail flat on a deer scouting run ended early. Realized I didn’t have the right spline (truck came with these wheels).

Got a recovery kit built out finally. ViAir compressor, snatch block, tree saver, breaker bar, deflator, etc.

    275/70/17 KO2s.

Cali Raised molle panels (need holster recs that fit well).

also have Deaver 2” stage 1s, dirt king UCAs and fox 2.5s on the way!

Do you think the deavers will make it ride stink bug style? Only worried the fox 2.5s won’t get me level with the deavers, I’ve heard they ride higher than advertised

I’m actually curious about that. I wonder if long-term it could leave a big rectangle. I’m definitely all-for the removing badges movement, but I was sad when I put on my secondary badges and saw they left a mark years later when they needed to be peeled off.

to clarify further, why would this be an issue if you’re replacing the OE sticker with another one, just different color.

I’ve got a new decal sticker on the way to replace my oe with the red to a matte black one.

I will be using a heat gun and a plastic “razor” blade to start peeling then slowly work my way until it’s removed. Then wipe down the area to make sure there’s no residue. Finally, use the wet method to apply the new decal.

Here, to get off-road permits, places like Big Cypress National Preserve & Everglades NP require you to have a fire extinguisher (& a shovel) and a few other items. You'd be surprised at how many fires are started by dry grass coming into contact with hot undercarriage parts...see it often enough.
