I have 1 clipazine in my gun plus 4/5 in the truck, no extras on me for my edc. If I'm at home I'm relying on my AR so pistol clipazines don't matter there.

I was thinking the same thing. My friends used to make fun of me for having nothing but "cheap/common" calibers but nowadays I'm the one laughing at them with their oddball cowboy and milsurp rounds they can't find.

I own a few guns. Some are "mains", others are for fun, and a few are basically paperweights that I keep for the sake of the collection, but don't really take out much.

I have at least 5 for each (with the CA limits, it at least works out cleanly to divide up a box of ammo at the range). For pistols that I might reach for in a home defense situation (this excludes by 22LR Buckmark), I have at least one more that stays loaded with hollowpoints while I shoot more affordable stuff at the range. "Carry" weapons are a hypothetical situation where I live, so there's not much point in gearing up for that, unless the whole place just degrades into Fury Road (which has felt like it's always been about 6 weeks away for the last 5-10 years)

I won't own less than 2. That gives me 1 loaded and 1 resting, that can be used for training. Normally my minimum is 4 per, giving me 2 loaded and 2 resting. I swap every 6 months- on my birthday (end of May) and thanksgiving (end of Nov.)

I store several thousand rounds, for pistols and rifles, in magazines I have all over the place. Ammo boxes for the rest.
