6” suspension lift, welds on 33’s
I blew my motor on my 06 Taco. I bought another one local. My truck is a 6speed manual trans, new one is from an automatic. Pulled mine out then found out my flywheel won’t mount on the new motor. The rear mount on new motor is larger than the old one. Does anyone know if I can find a flywheel to mount on the new motor?

It will fit. Just need to take the flex plate off, and maybe there is also a ring. Cannot remember.

Is there a pilot bearing you need to swap over (I’d recommend replacing at this point)?

I don't know about the Tacoma, but sometimes vehicles offered in automatic/manual have a different crankshaft to accommodate flywheel versus flexplate. Or, sometimes, the crank is the same but they have an adapter on it that can be removed.

It's usually best to try and match the motor from donor to the vehicle it needs to go into as close as possible

On the Tacoma, they are the same.

Don’t believe the 6spd uses a pilot bearing.
Which is one of the reason the TOB just doesn’t seem to last in those transmissions.
