There's the A-pillar RAM mount so your long cord from the headunit to play music gets wrapped around the steering wheel to crash

    2TPAM from Expedition Essentials
and the recent group buy on lower ones that go by the HVAC unit

I also did the A-pillar RAM mount. Best thing I've done regarding a phone mount. Rock solid and super easy to install.

I'm not sure how I'm gonna mount mine in the truck but I find tackform makes about the best most secure mount. I use to use a ram X mount in my garbage truck but after having it fall a few times i upgraded to the tackform and have not had an issue since. I know the tackform mounts are big in the motorcycle community that's where I first heard about them.

I also went with the A-pillar RAM ball and started with their “RAM Mounts Quick-Grip XL Phone Holder.” What I didn’t care for was how the bottom hooks blocked the part of the phone screen that I seemed to most often need to access for navigation, etc.

I kept the RAM mounting hardware and now have the ProClip phone holder, which I like better.

I use a wireless charging mount. The jaws close on the phone automatically when you put the phone in and a button releases it when you want to take it out. Windshield suction hasn't come loose in months of hot weather. Installed a USB charger right below with a 12" USB cable.

Anyone use anything that mounts somewhere in between the shifter and center console.

I use the panavise phone mount. Very accessible and easy to see the phone. I use the pillar mod for a dedicated GPS device.

I use this. I’ve had it in other vehicles too. It mounts to the seat bolts. I don’t like stuff around me when I’m driving and this is mounted to the passenger seat. The arm is flexible so I can change it’s position. If you do any wheeling though it may not be good for that.

Cheap Amazon CD magnetic holder has worked great for me for years. I used to have the RAM mount on the A-pillar but decided quickly just plopping my phone against the magnetic mount on the CD holder was better 1. because its quicker... literally just slap it on as opposed to having to 'open' the RAM mount and then adjusting the phone so the RAM mounting points don't accidentally press on the volume buttons and 2. its right in the upper center of the vehicle so the view of the phone is great.
