Lol that's what I did first time. Second time used a block in back for support, then lifted front of skid with hands and started the bolts.

TRD emblems, tinted windows, OEM running boards, AVS vent shades, RMAS upgrade, LED lights in front and rear, interior LED lighting upgrade, LED lighting in bed, touch control dash mount for LED lighting, auxillary 12v and USB jacks in bed, replace all speakers with Infinity, custom mod with Bose tweeters, TRD Pro illumination mod...
The trick is to start at the back pair, then the middle and front.

Ball joint spacers and lift blocks, am I doing it right?
Goo-gone and then acetone. Finally compounded and polished the area by hand. Took atleast 30 minutes a side maybe more, zero paint damage..

All while out in the hot Florida sun.

Could be that’s what genuine Toyota gets you, although the money you saved was probably pretty sweet.

IIRC you’ll have to remove it for the front wheel drive component maintenance.

I know. I know. I should have gone with genuine OEM. I did get it for about half the cost of the OEM one though. We'll see how it holds up.

I did this with mine and found hitting the whole thing with a heat gun first helped. I didn’t have much residue to deal with once it came off. Then Goo Gone Automotive and microfiber, and a quick rinse after.

    Edit: Goo Gone Automotive, specifically

Those 6112s look different. Are they new models? What settings do all those ring clips give?

They’re the new 11 position, same overall height just more adjustment.

Did you use the 6112 as they came out of the box at the setting they were set to or did you adjust them in height?
    what setting did you use?

What brand of upper control arm did you switch out to ?

Jeff, depending on how the 3rd brake light was connected and what else was connected, this could be the problem. The electric draw would delay your ability to use either. So test this out by waiting 5-10 seconds before trying to lock/unlock and see if that consistently works. This was my experience with this because I had everything pulling from the same source.
