I know - Not a new question... but it looks like i'll be pulling a u-haul trailer from Seattle to West Virginia next spring. What can I expect with my 2015 TRD sport. I have the factory towing package, but I know the leaf springs are a weak link. Please advise.

    How heavy is the trailer?
Truck is rated for 6400# although that is with trailer brakes and flat terrain, in hilly terrain actual towing capability can be much lower.
If you have an automatic then you will want to monitor your transmission temp.

I would say to keep it around 1000lbs under the max rating. Definitely always in 4th! You run the risk of takeing the transmission out if you run in 'D'.

Without knowing the weight of the trailer loaded it’s not possible to answer your question.
