My 05, 228k mile truck seats are starting to feel their age.
Looking quickly at local salvage yards, there's quite a range of year Tacos I could get newer seats from.

Question, is there any difference in the years? Better bolstering in the newer ones?
Ideally, I'd love to find some with seat heaters installed....

Guessing this is a hotly debated topic?
for what it's worth, I did try a search. Doesn't seem like anything useful came up though...

For me, I'm almost at 260k & would like to replace my seats as well. I know there are aftermarket options but I don't want to spend that much. Lots of salvage yards near me, so that will be my most likely source.

Theres a thread. Since you have an 05 with out side airbags you should be fine.

There's quite a few different seats I've heard of people using, what gets alot of people in trouble with the seats is the airbag system. Some trucks have airbags in the seats (all 09+ trucks do I believe) and most have ocupant classification sensors in the passenger seat.
