I recently put 0w20 in a car calling for 0w16, because I happen to have a jug of it. I have placed myself under house arrest until the proper authorities arrive.

You just had to take it to the dealer, now I can’t get MY oil filter off.

I hope every time you go outside it rains

I don't give them the opportunity to screw up.

Whenever I go to the dealer I show them who's boss. Before the tech can even finish greeting me I get in his face and scream "LEMOOoN LAW!" Then I shit on the floor and demand to see the service manager, GM, and the ghost of Kiichiro Toyoda right now.

Now they know who they're dealing with. I'm not your ordinary everyday fool. I'm a paying customer. And I will take no guff.

By this time they are shaking in their boots so badly that they can't wait to change my oil correctly. And to make sure they keep me as a valuable customer and not take my 99 Yaris elsewhere, the lobby receptionist shakily gives me a cup of gourmet coffee and a bag of popcorn, gratis. Not everyone gets that kind of treatment. But they know I'm special.

They even chauffer the car right to the front door for me, and give me a custom made printed report. I pay for my bill, but I make damn sure that my three complimentary gourmet coffees stay complimentary.

But they do a good job. Because they know the consequences of they don't. I'm special. I have a Yelp account, and I know how to Google a lawyer. Nobody fucks with me.

I’d say you had a 70-30 shot. And that’s after working at dealers (commercial, not automotive) for over 12 years of my life.

Most aren’t f$&@tards, but too many are. And some of them go on to become management.

most f$&@tards do, the idea is to get them off the line and away from anything they can damage, the place a work at has a huge problem with doing this.

Congrats. But you won't be able to get the filter cannister off next time because they installed it with an impact wrench.

Sure those three gourmet coffees are full of the ahhhhh.... "secret" ingredient. They probably have a special jar of it just for you.

I think it is human nature to complain more than praise. Especially on TW and myself included. During my 3 year warranty period, 50% of warranty / TSB / free oil change work was done to my satisfation. The other 50% fall into the category of "WTH". Glad you had a good experience at the dealer.
