You can only begin to imagine the adventures of wiping out a deer 600 miles from home in a swamp in the middle of the night.
    2016 Odyssey Touring Elite.
Bumper, condensor, radiator, ac lines, both fans, upper core support, lower core support, light, fog light, hood, hood latches, valance, and so on.
90 degrees no engine no ac, 4 kids, my wife and me. No cell service either.

Went back a shot the deer it was dying anyway.

1.5 hours after getting service on my wifes phone FHP showed up, tow truck 45 minutes later.

Pile 6 people into tow truck, ride 1.5 hours now 230am get to hotel, still covered in salt and sand from beach.

Talk hotel clerk into taking me to a gas station to get tampons and pads for the girls.

Get back take shower, sleep two hours call a taxi to take me to vrbo 30 minutes away to get tacoma.

Go back, meet mother in law so we can get everyone back to vrbo.

Unload the van into the truck at tow storage yard.

Van tow limit is 100 miles, they went to 300 but that is not enough either way.

Quote to tow to Kentucky is 4500 dollars.

So it has to be fixed down here.
The will pay for a rental car if I pay for fuel to come get it when done.
4-8 weeks to complete 6500 in repair estimate, before a body guy has touched it.

The stuff you see spraying out is freon, coolant, and I assume deer pee. Lol.

    Damge photos
Yep thats the oil cap broken off by the radiator and fans.

God protected us, it wasn't a hog or a bear. I can't type fast enough to explain all the cool things that happened to prove that to me. If you know, you already know, and if you don't it wouldn't make any sense anyway.

One the subject of deer, I kill and eat two a year.
This year a friend is supposed to have 20 doe tags for a doe cull on his farm. I might go just wipe some of the dang things out, and my pastor makes jerky out of them.

    Stupid deer. Lol

    We are still having fun.

Just a pain in the butt.

Oh well, if thats the worst thing that happens we are fine.

    The mosquitoes were the worst.
Had to have windows down not to die of heat stroke.

Damn Steve, that really blows. Glad you are making the best of it though. Looks like you had no time to react. Happens so fast.

I was looking at a color matched front bumper for my tow rig. I may reconsider a little more stout bumper for times like these. I was in TN/KY last month and was fairly lucky with not coming close to smacking one of the many deer we seen.

I touched the brake right as it hit. No time at all.

    Thank you.
