Pancakes in this poll fer sure, but the wife made some strawberry cream cheese stuffed french toast a lil while back that blows the doors off lego my eggo. I rarely eat a big breakfast like that and when I do it's almost always directly followed by a "im just resting my eyes" napperoo.

I eat pancakes and waffles (and baked potatos) without butter. :crapstorm:

I'm about as far away as a person can be from being a health nut, it's just a little too much for me.
    Pancakes and waffles....syrup only.
Baked tater.....sour cream and lots of pepper

Between the two, waffles FO SHO.

Firstly, Waffle House > IHOP so there's that.

Also, waffles are ultimately superior in syrup/butter retention vs pancakes where the syrup can haphazardly run off to wherever it feels like.

    HOWEVER, French Toast beats both.

Wife and I usually go out to breakfast a few times a week to Spring Valley restaurant. I made the mistake of asking for 3 pancakes one time. My god what a stack. I didn't stand a chance of eating all those.

You're not poking enough holes in your pancakes then! I generally tap the flat of the butter knife on the pancake so it makes larger holes.

Exactly. Waffles don't NEED to be defaced to retain toppings. I'm glad you support my thesis statement. ;)

They NEED to not be so damn had to cut. Plus, the waffling of the surface increases the surface to mass ratio and that means it cools off faster! I don't like to eat cold breakfast food.

Im with stock, butter seems gluttonous. I'll just drown my hot cakes in syrup in lieu of those missed butter calories.

As far as taters, sour cream/pepper ALL/AIR vs butter

heat/sun is probably gonna destroy it unfortunately.. or at least soften it enough to where it will impact operation.

You're doing it wrong! You don't pour the syrup on the pancake, that's strictly a rookie move. You pour the syrup onto a shallow bowl and let the pancake absorb it. The problem with waffles is that they don't absorb the syrup, it just sits on top; yeah, you get a little bit in the pockets, but a properly syrup-saturated pancake blows waffles out of the water every day of the week!!!
