I hadn't even thought about that. I have a topper with a brake light so no worries if I cover it up completely. Any recommended putty tape? Or just a general one?

Well good new bad news. I sealed the light and everything was good for a minute. In the last two weeks it has started leaking again. I went completely overboard with the sealant, hit every place on the light. Any other guesses?

Sorry to stir up an old thread. Did you ever get this fixed?

I replaced my third brake light earlier this year thinking that was the culprit. Couple months later still having a leak. Been strapped for time but I pulled my headliner down in the back enough to identify where its coming from (pouring in Connecticut today). Tracked it down to the top corner; passenger side, directly below the white clip.

Third brake light is perfectly dry; seems to be only wet below the clip. I am thinking of trying rtv sealer but wanted to see if you ever got resolution on this.

I ended up finding a pinhole in the window seal right below where the roof trim meets the window trim. Let it dry out for a bit, and carefully moved away the piece of foam inside the back window trim. Cleaned the area with a couple alcohol pads. I then used Permatex windshield and glass sealant to put a thick bead on the outside, and also carefully put some on the inside where I thought it was coming in.

Seemed to do the trick so far. Tested it with the hose, and we had some heavy rain yesterday.

I ended up using clear RTV sealant around the brake light and called it a day. I got tired of trying to chase down the leak.
